Do you cover flight delays after departure?

Under the Insure and Go Silver and Gold levels of cover, we will reimburse the cost of the necessary additional meals and accommodation expenses, if your final departure from or returning to Australia by aircraft is delayed for more than 12 hours. You are eligible to claim under this benefit if the flight is delayed due to poor weather conditions, a strike, industrial action or mechanical breakdown

The amount you can claim varies depending on the level of cover that you have purchased with us. Please refer to the policy wording documents for more information.

Please note that this policy does NOT cover any claims arising from missed connecting flights during your trip.
